Research area: Breeding & genetics of woody landscape plants
Carol Robacker earned a B.S. degree in horticulture at Pennsylvania State University, and her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Minnesota, majoring in horticulture and genetics. Her dissertation involved genetic studies of self-incompatibility. Dr. Rpbacker took a position as Assistant Professor of Plant Science at Texas Tech University. She taught genetics and plant breeding, and did research on tissue culture of cotton. Since joining the Horticulture faculty at UGA in Griffin, she has researched plant tissue culture propagation and has been breeding ornamentals.
